Whether you are a fan of the minions or just a casual moviegoer, you may be wondering how many minion movies exist in the world. The answer is that there have been six minion movies released to date, four spin-off movies from the Despicable Me franchise, and two solo movies all about the minions. The first three movies in the minion universe are the spin-off movies from the Despicable Me franchise. In turn, the girls help Gru embrace his softer side and change his ways. Throughout the movie, the minions are by Gru’s side, providing comic relief and plenty of laughs. The second movie in the series, Despicable Me 2, was released in 2013 and saw Gru teaming up with the girls to take down a new villain. The minions are given more of a starring role this time, and we get to see them engage in plenty of hijinks. The third movie in the series, Despicable Me 3, was released in 2017 and saw Gru teaming up with his long-lost twin brother to take down a new villain. The minions are, once again, prominently featured, and we get to see them in some new and exciting situations. The fourth and New movie in the series, Despicable Me 4, is set to be released in 2024. We can not know much about the plot, But it will be more fun than ever, and the Minions will be a big part of it.
In addition to the spin-off movies, there are also two solo movies all about the minions. The first of these movies, Minions, was released in 2015 and told the story of how the minions came to be. We learn about their origins and how they ended up working for Gru. The movie is packed with laughs and is sure to appeal to both kids and adults. The second movie in the series, Minions: The Rise of Gru, is set to be released in 2022 and tells how Gru became the supervillain we all know and love. The minions, of course, play a major role in this movie, and we can expect them to be up to their usual shenanigans.
