The DC Comics superhero, The Flash, is set to make his big screen debut in 2023. While many fans eagerly anticipate this speedy hero’s arrival, the question remains: will The Flash be available to stream on Disney Plus Hotstar? In this blog article, we’ll explore the answer to this question and the factors that will impact The Flash’s availability on Disney Plus.
As we all know, Disney Plus is the new streaming service from Mouse House, which has been making waves in the entertainment industry since its launch in 2020. One of the selling points of Disney Plus Hotstar is that it allows users to watch all of their favourite Disney movies and TV shows in one place. However, Disney Plus is not just limited to content from the Mouse House. The platform also has a laudable selection of movies and TV shows from other studios, such as 20th Century Fox, Marvel Studios, National Geographic, and Pixar. One studio which is notably absent from Disney Plus is DC Comics.
While DC Comics has several movies and TV shows available to stream on other platforms, such as HBO Max and Netflix, the studio has yet to make any content available on Disney Plus Hotstar. This is likely because Disney now owns DC Comics’ main competitor, Marvel Studios. Given the rivalry between these two comic book giants, it’s unlikely that Disney would want to promote DC Comics content on its platform.
So, will The Flash be available on Disney Plus Hotstar? The answer is most likely no. The Flash is a DC Comics project, and DC Comics movies are not currently available on Disney Plus Hotstar.
The movie “The Flash” starring Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash, Sasha Calle as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Antje Traue as Faora-Ul, Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne / Batman, directed by Andy Muschietti, is set to be released on June 16, 2023.
