Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name. The film is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
It is intended to be the twenty-fifth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton from a screenplay by Dave Callaham and stars Simu Liu as the title character. Shang-Chi was announced as part of Marvel Studios’ Phase Four in October 2019. Production began in February 2020 in Australia.
