Is the Peacemaker dead?

In The Suicide Squad (2021), when there is a fight between Peacemaker and Bloodsports, both attack each other with bullets. A bullet fired by Bloodsports then hit the Peacemaker. And then it seems that the Peacemaker is dead, but he is not dead. And after that scene at the end of The Suicide Squad (2021), it is shown that the Peacemaker is in a hospital and is still alive.

Is Peacemaker a hero?

Peacemaker is neither a hero nor a villain; he just wants to bring peace to the world. And no matter how many people he has to kill for that. That’s why Peacemaker is an anti-hero.
