Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that Black Panther 2 will be released in November 2022, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The film was originally slated for a May 2021 release but was pushed back due to the pandemic. Ryan Coogler, who directed and wrote the first film, is also returning for the sequel.

While very little is known about the sequel’s plot, we know that it will centre around the death of Chadwick Boseman’s character, T’Challa. The film will explore how the people of Wakanda deal with the loss of their king and how T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright), will step up to take his place.
