Why Is Spiderman Not On Disney Plus?

Sony has the film rights to Spider-Man and many related Marvel characters, which is why none of the MCU Spider-Man movies is available on Disney+.

However, there are other reasons. Spider-Man is unique in that his story is deeply intertwined with New York City. This urban setting is a key part of what makes Spider-Man Spider-Man. Disney’s acquisition of Fox means they now have the rights to Spider-Man’s biggest rival, Batman.
