Marvel’s Thunderbolts is a team of superheroes that first appeared in 1997. Writer Mark Baley and artist Kurt Busiek created the Thunderbolts. The original team consisted of five villains the Avengers had previously defeated: Baron Zemo, Atlas, Mach-1, Moonstone, and Meteorite. Zemo came up with the idea to form the team and recruit the other members. The team’s first mission was to stop the Hulk, but they soon realized they were not powerful enough to take him down. The team later expanded to include other members, such as Hawkeye, Songbird, and Penance. The team’s current lineup includes Cable, Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier, and Zemo. The Thunderbolts are a team of superheroes that are willing to do whatever it takes to take down villains and protect the innocent. They have a long history of working together to get the job done.
