And In The Incredible Hulk (2009) Robert Downey Jr makes an uncredited appearance as Tony Stark / Iron Man.
So, how many movies has Iron Man been in? A total of 10, including the most recent Avengers movie. It’s safe to say that he’s a pretty popular character!
In 2008, Robert Downey Jr. was officially cast as Tony Stark / Iron Man in the Marvel Studios movie Iron Man. He was the lead actor in that movie and did an amazing job.
However, there are other themes related to the main idea of the movie. One theme is redemption. Tony Stark starts off as a selfish, rich CEO who only cares about himself. However, after he is captured and has to build an Iron Man suit to save his life, he realizes that there are more important things than just himself. He starts to care about others and eventually becomes a superhero.
Another theme is hope. Despite the odds against him, Tony Stark never gives up and eventually defeats his enemies. This gives hope to people who are facing difficult situations in their own lives.

Downey Jr.’s role in The Incredible Hulk is a very small one. He appears in a post-credits scene as Tony Stark, then he Talks to General Ross trying to recruit Bruce Banner to join the Avengers Initiative. At this point in the MCU timeline, the Avengers Initiative has not been formed yet and Stark is still trying to convince other superheroes to join him.
In 2012, The Avengers Banner isn’t interested, of course, and tells Black Widow to stay away. It’s a very brief scene, but it’s significant because it’s the first time we see Black Widow and Banner interacting. Of course, we now know that these two characters will eventually become allies in the Avengers.
It’s interesting to think about what Downey Jr.’s involvement in The Incredible Hulk might mean for the future of the MCU. Could we see him make a return appearance in a future Hulk movie? Or could his role in the upcoming Avengers be even bigger than we thought? Only time will tell.

With the release of Avengers: Endgame just around the corner, fans are eagerly anticipating seeing Robert Downey Jr. return as Tony Stark / Iron Man.
