Why did Thor get fat in Endgame?

In Avengers Infinity War (2018), Thor attacked Thanos and failed. He should have gone for Thanos’s Head, but he hit his chest. Then because of their mistake with Thor, Thanos destroyed half the universe’s population, and then he ran away. Then Avengers Infinity War ended, and Thor went into depression for not killing Thanos. And then he started drinking alcohol, and for those five years, he only drank alcohol; Thor’s weight increased, And he became Fat Thor. The biggest reason he became Fat Thor was his failure because he could not kill Thanos. He always used to drink alcohol, and fat started coming on him.

Why did Thor get depressed?

Thor’s life didn’t have much trouble at the beginning of Thor Ragnarok (2017). After that, Thor’s father leaves this world; the problem starts in his life. Then there is the entry of Thor’s sister Hela who is more powerful than Thor. And she would also break Thor’s hammer, Thor’s biggest weapon.
Then Hela goes to Asgard and starts killing people, due to which half of the people of Asgard die. All these things were taking Thor into depression, but Thor had some hope that I could save him. Thor then fights Hela and saves Asgard’s Half People. But then, new trouble ensues when Thanos attacks Thor’s ship. Then Thanos kills all the remaining Asgardians on that ship and Loki, but Thor survives. Then, when he stays, he gets even angrier and wants to kill Thanos. But when Thor sees Thanos a second time, he still fails to kill him. Due to this, he goes into depression and remains depressed for five years.

Why did they make Thor so weak in Endgame?

Many people have seen the power of Thor in previous movies, and people like Thor’s character very much. Thor has saved the world many times with his abilities in previous films. And Thor is the Strongest Avenger too. But being unable to kill Thanos was like a depression for him; that’s why Thor started drinking more alcohol. Because of this, he did not have the same energy as before and became weak. Because when a person does not take care of his health, only drinking alcohol, his body will also become weak. And his energy will also decrease, and he will not be able to fight with anyone.
Similarly, Thor also became weak; he was only immersed in the grief of losing his people. And kept thinking that I wished I had gone for Thanos Head. But even killing Thanos is not that easy. Because there are many villains in MCU, but as dangerous villains as Mad Titan, Thanos has yet to come.
